The bsc_msc_ip application is living in the on-waves/bsc-master branch and is used to run OpenBSC within a more traditional GSM network. It runs OpenBSC in a pure BSC-only mode, and talks to a MSC via the GSM A over IP inside the ip.access protocol header.

bsc_msc_ip has been deprecated by osmo-bsc.
